Do you believe in fairytales? Well don't we have a treat for you... Rutland Musical Theatre is delighted to be bringing Stephen Sondheim's classic musical 'Into the Woods' to life in the smallest county of England.

Into The Woods, with book by James Lapine and music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, intertwines various Brothers Grimm fairytales, exploring the results of their desires and quests. The musical debuted in 1986 and transferred to Broadway in 1987. The original production won the 1988 New York Drama Critics' Circle Award and the Drama Desk Award for Best Musical, and the original cast recording won a Grammy Award. The show was nominated for ten Tony Awards, and won three.

Transforming our rehearsal venue, we'll be getting up close and personal for this intimate production. Only 500 tickets are available for this magical production, which will run from 28th August - 1st September 2024 at Manton Village Hall.
