When and where do RMT rehearse?
RMT meet every Tuesday and Thursday for rehearsals, at Manton Village Hall, Manton, Rutland - LE15 8SU. Rehearsals usually begin at 7.30pm (occasionally 7pm in the lead-up to show week).
When and where do RMT perform?
RMT perform their major show in April of each year at the Corby Cube, with rehearsals beginning in October. As of 2023, we have introduced a second show, rehearsed over the summer months and performed end of August/beginning September at the Rutland Showground.
Do I have to perform?
Not at all! As well as those who like to be on stage, we are always really keen to welcome members who feel more at home supporting behind the scenes. So whether you're a make-up or costume superstar, a props queen or technical whizz, we'd love to have you as part of our society.
How much are membership fees?
Our membership fees as of July 2023 are £30.00. The membership fee is payable by all those who choose to join RMT, both acting and non-acting members.
In addition to membership fees, those who become cast members for our productions pay a production fee - this varies depending on the show, but will always be announced ahead of auditions.
What is the process for joining RMT?
We ask all those wishing to join us as acting members to prepare a short solo audition, consisting of a song of their choice and a monologue. We then get all our new members together to learn a few bars of dance - so we cover the three key skills of musical theatre!
What age do I have to be to join RMT?
You can only be a member of RMT if you are aged 16+. However, we often have casting opportunities for under-16s, dependent on the shows that we announce. To see all our upcoming shows, visit our Productions page.
