Following the huge success and sell-out audiences for our production of Kinky Boots at the Corby Cube, we are delighted to announce that our next production is the utterly hilarious hit sensation, Avenue Q.

Originally debuting off-Broadway in 2003, and transferring to Broadway in July of that same year, Avenue Q is a musical parody featuring both puppets and human actors. The show claimed Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical and Best Original Score at the 2004 Tony Awards.

Rutland Musical Theatre's production will take to the stage from Wednesday 30th August - Saturday 2nd September at Rutland Showground, Oakham.

*Please note: Due to adult themes within this show, we have advised age suitability of 16+*

Part flesh, part felt and packed with heart, Avenue Q is the laugh-out-loud musical that tells the timeless story of a bright-eyed college grad named Princeton.

When he arrives in the city with big dreams and a tiny bank account, he has to move into a shabby apartment all the way out on AVENUE Q. Still, the neighbours seem nice.

There, he meets Kate (the girl next door), Lucy (the slut), Rod (the Republican), Trekkie (the internet entrepreneur), superintendent Gary Coleman (yes, that Gary Coleman) and other new friends!

Together, they struggle to find jobs, dates, and their ever-elusive purpose in life.
